The icon of Jesus Pantocrator (All-Ruler or Vsederzhytel). Jesus Christ sits on the throne of glory and the book has the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, alpha and omega. In the Book of revelation Jesus says, "I am the alpha and omega." Jesus is the beginning and the end. Sometimes the icon is called the icon of the Second Coming of Christ. The icon is circular (circle = eternity) reminding us that this is Jesus the Son of God in all eternity.
